Fairy Tail

Fairy Tail (often misspelled as "Fairy Tale") is a long-running shonen anime based on Hiro Mashima's manga.

Quick synopsis: In the magical world of Earth-land (specifically the Kingdom of Fiore), wizards join guilds to take on jobs and adventures. The story follows Lucy Heartfilia, a cheerful celestial spirit mage who dreams of joining the famous (and famously destructive) guild Fairy Tail. She meets Natsu Dragneel, a fiery Dragon Slayer wizard with a dragon foster parent (Igneel), and his flying cat companion Happy. They quickly pull her into the guild's chaotic, family-like group.

Alongside powerhouses like ice mage Gray Fullbuster, armored requip master Erza Scarlet, and many others, the Fairy Tail members tackle missions, rival guilds, dark forces, ancient threats (including dragons, demons, and the mysterious Zeref), and massive battles — all while emphasizing unbreakable bonds of friendship, "family," and never giving up.

It's packed with over-the-top action, comedy (lots of guild hall brawls and fanservice), emotional moments, power-of-friendship triumphs, and escalating stakes across arcs like Phantom Lord, Tower of Heaven, Tenrou Island, Grand Magic Games, and beyond.

The anime ran from 2009–2019 (with multiple seasons/continuations totaling over 300 episodes), plus movies, OVAs, and a sequel series (Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest).
