Acnologia

Acnologia is one of the most powerful and feared characters in Fairy Tail. Known as the Dragon King or the Black Dragon of the Apocalypse, he is originally a human who became one of the earliest Dragon Slayers over 400 years ago. After a tragic betrayal by dragons that destroyed his home and loved ones, he turned against them, slaughtering countless dragons and bathing in their blood. This overuse of Dragon Slayer Magic transformed him into a dragon-like being capable of shifting between a human form and a massive dragon form at will.

In his human appearance, he looks like a muscular young man with long dark blue hair, sharp features, dark skin, and blue draconic markings on his body, often wearing a black cloak and other rugged attire. As a dragon, he's enormous, covered in black scales with spiraling blue patterns, radiating overwhelming destructive power.

He possesses unmatched strength, can consume and nullify virtually any type of magic (making him nearly invincible in a magic-based world), and embodies ruthless, apocalyptic destruction. Acnologia views dragons (and later Dragon Slayers) as threats to be eradicated, showing a cold, merciless personality driven by his past trauma and eventual embrace of carnage. He serves as a major overarching antagonist in the series.
