Ultear Milkovich

Ultear Milkovich is a powerful female Mage in Fairy Tail and the biological daughter of the legendary ice Mage Ur.

Initially introduced as a villain, she was a high-ranking member (and infiltrator) of the Magic Council while secretly belonging to the Dark Guild Grimoire Heart, where she served as the leader of its elite squad, the Seven Kin of Purgatory. She wields the Lost Magic Arc of Time, which allows her to manipulate and accelerate the "time" of objects and people (speeding up aging, repairing/breaking things instantly, etc.).

Her backstory involves deep resentment toward her mother Ur (believing she was abandoned), stemming from childhood trauma, experimentation, and misunderstandings. This fuels her early ruthless, manipulative, and ambitious personality.

Later in the series, following major events and character development (including a powerful self-sacrificial moment), she defects from darkness, becomes an independent Mage, and co-founds Crime Sorcière alongside Jellal Fernandes to atone for her past sins while hunting other Dark Guild threats.

She is typically depicted as a calm, elegant woman with long dark purple hair and striking eyes (often shown as red in the anime).
