Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside (also known as Shin no Nakama ja Nai to Yuusha no Party wo Oidasareta node, Henkyou de Slow Life suru Koto ni Shimashita) is a fantasy slice-of-life anime with some adventure and romance elements.

In a world where people's abilities and roles are determined by Divine Blessings received at birth, the protagonist—originally named Gideon Ragnason—was a member of the legendary Hero's Party led by his younger sister Ruti, the chosen Hero destined to defeat the Demon Lord.

However, despite his support role and high level (thanks to his unique "Guide" blessing), he's seen as a liability by some party members. One comrade (Ares) manipulates him into believing he's holding everyone back, leading to his banishment from the group. Gideon leaves quietly without confronting his sister.

Renaming himself Red, he relocates to a remote border town called Zoltan to live a peaceful, low-key life. He opens an apothecary (pharmacy/herbal medicine shop) and focuses on helping the locals with remedies and a quiet routine.

His past catches up when Rit, a skilled B-rank adventurer and his old crush from earlier adventures, tracks him down and ends up moving in with him. The story follows Red's attempts to maintain his slow, relaxed life while dealing with occasional threats, old connections, and budding romance with Rit—though the world (and his former party) doesn't always let him stay completely out of trouble.

It's generally a cozy, feel-good series emphasizing relaxation, everyday life, relationships, and the idea of choosing personal happiness over grand destiny, with some action sprinkled in.
