About Ruti Ragnason

Ruti Ragnason is the younger sister of the protagonist Red (formerly Gideon) in the anime Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside. She bears the divine blessing of the Hero, the strongest and rarest blessing, which designates her as humanity's chosen champion destined to defeat the Demon Lord. This blessing grants her immense, overwhelming power and combat ability.

However, it comes with a major drawback: it suppresses her emotions and any aspects of her humanity deemed unnecessary for her heroic mission, making her appear stoic, emotionless, quiet, and reserved most of the time. She leads (or formerly led) the Hero's Party with unwavering focus on her duty, though her deep bond with her brother serves as one of the few anchors to her remaining feelings.

In the anime adaptation, her character explores the tragic weight of being forced into the role of the Hero against her own desires, with her personality gradually showing more nuance as events unfold (especially in Season 2 developments). She's voiced by Naomi Ōzora in Japanese and Tia Ballard in English.
