Newman Winters

Newman Winters is one of the local doctors in the town of Zoltan in the anime Banished from the Hero's Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside.

He's a reliable, middle-aged physician who runs a medical practice in the working-class area where Red (the protagonist) sets up his apothecary. Newman collaborates with Red on occasion, particularly in cases involving patients or medical needs, such as when he works together with Red to treat Tanta Stow's eye condition (white-eye disease).

In the anime adaptation, he's portrayed as a trustworthy, professional figure in the community—experienced, kind-hearted, and supportive of Red's new life as an apothecary, often doing business or consulting with him. Voiced by Ken Uo in Japanese (and Doug Jackson in the English dub), he appears as a minor but recurring supporting character in the slice-of-life aspects of the story set in Zoltan.

He's not a major plot driver but helps ground the cozy, everyday town life that contrasts with the hero party elements.
