Reala Thompson

Reala Thompson (also known as Raela Thompson or née Reshia Tinzel / Reshia Tinsel) is a supporting character in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World.

She is the biological mother of Garfiel Tinzel and Frederica Baumann. For much of the story (particularly in Garfiel's backstory introduced in Arc 4), she was believed to have died in a landslide/rock slide accident after leaving the Sanctuary to retrieve her husband. This event deeply traumatized Garfiel and shaped much of his personality and insecurities.

In Arc 5 (adapted in Season 3 of the anime), it is revealed that she survived the incident but lost her memories due to amnesia. She was later found and cared for by Garek Thompson, whom she eventually married, and started a new family in Priestella with him, including two new children (Fred and Rafiel Thompson).

Appearance: She has green eyes and long golden/blonde (sometimes described as orange) hair typically braided into a ponytail. She has a gentle, kind demeanor despite her hardships.

Personality: Described as kind-hearted and unlucky in life, having endured significant struggles, yet maintaining a warm and approachable disposition.

She plays a key emotional role in Garfiel's development, especially regarding themes of family, abandonment, and reconciliation.
