Rachins Hoffman

Rachins Hoffman (also commonly called Chin / チン) is a supporting character in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World.

He's one of the three thugs (along with Ton and Kan) who attempt to mug Natsuki Subaru in the very first episode/arc of the story in the slums of Lugunica's capital. Originally a runaway noble from a respected family (his father is a high-ranking royal instructor/official), he ended up living as a street criminal.

Later in the story, after the royal selection begins, Felt recruits him (and his two companions) to work for her camp, giving him a more legitimate role supporting her candidacy. He's described as lanky, shrewd, somewhat clever and manipulative, but also argumentative, crude in speech, and not particularly strong in direct combat. He has a complicated relationship with his noble background and shows loyalty to Felt despite his rough personality.
