That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (also known as Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) is a popular isekai anime.

It follows Satoru Mikami, an ordinary 37-year-old office worker in Japan whose life ends abruptly when he's stabbed during a robbery. As he dies, he gains mysterious powers and is reincarnated in a fantasy world—not as a hero or powerful being, but as a weak, blob-like slime monster.

Named Rimuru Tempest (after some early adventures), he discovers he has an incredible ability: he can absorb and analyze almost anything he consumes (via a skill called Predator), gaining its powers and knowledge. He also comes equipped with a super-intelligent skill called Great Sage (later evolving) that helps him navigate this new world.

Starting alone in a cave, Rimuru befriends a powerful sealed dragon named Veldora, then ventures out to help a village of goblins under threat. From there, he begins gathering various monsters and outcasts, building a diverse nation of his own while aiming for peaceful coexistence rather than conquest.

The series mixes action, comedy, nation-building, and overpowered protagonist fun, with Rimuru evolving from a cute little slime into an increasingly influential (and ridiculously strong) figure in the fantasy world.

It's a feel-good isekai with great world-building, likable characters, and a balance of lighthearted moments and epic battles. Highly recommended if you enjoy slice-of-life elements mixed with fantasy adventure!
