In the anime adaptation of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (primarily Season 1), Geld is the powerful leader of a massive orc army, initially known as the Orc Lord.

He is a massive, imposing orc with a strong and intimidating build. Driven by a great famine afflicting his people, he rises to lead his tribe in a desperate campaign for survival, commanding a huge horde that ravages villages and poses a major threat to the Jura Forest region.

Geld possesses a rare unique skill called Starved (or "Hunger"), which fuels his endless appetite, converts consumed matter into energy, and lets him share powers from devoured monsters with his followers—turning his rampage into a catastrophic force capable of devouring everything in its path.

Later in the arc, after consuming the demon Gelmud (who had named and manipulated him), he evolves into the even more dangerous Orc Disaster, a demon lord seed-level threat with amplified power and destructive potential.

Despite his role as an antagonist during the orc invasion, Geld is portrayed as a tragic figure deeply devoted to protecting and saving his starving tribe, even at great personal cost. His fate ties into Rimuru's efforts to resolve the conflict peacefully where possible.
