Granbell Rosso (also known as Gran) is a significant character introduced in Season 3 of the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime.

He is the former head of the powerful Rosso family, which has long manipulated events behind the scenes in the Western Nations. Granbell is revealed to be the true identity of "Gran," the Sun Luminary and leader of the Clerics of the Seven Luminaries (a key religious/organizational group tied to the Western Holy Church).

In his anime appearance, he initially presents as a wealthy, elderly figure with an air of authority and charisma, but he later regains a more youthful, vigorous look—with shining blond hair and a sharp, intense eagle-like gaze—reflecting his regained power and vitality. He carries himself with the commanding presence of someone who has lived for centuries and once held immense influence.

Granbell is a former Chosen Hero (with deep historical ties to the world's power structures), and his actions revolve around schemes involving control, legacy, and confrontation with emerging forces like Rimuru Tempest. Voiced by Daisuke Ono (Japanese), he serves as a complex antagonist figure with a layered backstory tied to loss, ambition, and long-term planning.
