Shauna

Shauna (known as Sana in Japanese) is a recurring character in the Pokémon anime, specifically in the XY series. She's a cheerful, energetic, and bubbly young girl from Vaniville Town in the Kalos region, and one of Serena's close friends and friendly rivals.

In the anime, Shauna is a dedicated Pokémon Performer who participates in Pokémon Showcases, with her ultimate dream being to become a famous Performer and even reach the level of Kalos Queen like Aria. She's very polite, a bit goofy at times, supportive of her friends (including Tierno and Trevor), and has a determined side when competing or pursuing her goals. She loves creating Pokévision videos with her Pokémon and was inspired by Serena's own video early on.

She first appears during the Pokémon Summer Camp arc, where she meets Ash and the group, and she later competes in several Showcases alongside or against Serena. Her personality comes across as upbeat, optimistic, and full of enthusiasm for her Performer aspirations.
