Professor Magnolia

Professor Magnolia is the Pokémon Professor from the Galar region in the Pokémon anime (primarily appearing in Pokémon Journeys: The Series). She is an elderly researcher who specializes in studying the Dynamax phenomenon (and its related Gigantamax form), a unique power in Galar that allows certain Pokémon to grow enormously powerful and massive during battles.

In the anime, she is Sonia's grandmother and has a relatively minor but notable role compared to more prominent professors like Oak or Kukui. She appears in episodes involving Galar-related events, such as encounters with Chairman Rose, Eternatus, and explanations of Dynamax energy. Her character is portrayed as knowledgeable, experienced, and tied to the region's history and research on this signature mechanic. She is often shown in her lab or home environment, providing insight when the protagonists visit Galar.

She initially appeared only in a photo reference early in the series before making physical appearances later on.
