Heymans Breda

Heymans Breda is a supporting character in the Fullmetal Alchemist anime (both the 2003 series and the 2009 Brotherhood adaptation), serving as one of Colonel Roy Mustang's most trusted subordinates in the Amestrian military.

In the anime, he's portrayed as a tall, broad-shouldered, red-haired man with a rugged, no-nonsense appearance, often wearing his military uniform and a calm, serious expression. He has a distinctive, slightly gruff voice and a dry sense of humor.

Personality-wise, Breda is the most level-headed and pragmatic member of Mustang's team (the "lieutenant trio" with Hawkeye and Havoc). He's intelligent, tactical, and quick-witted, often acting as the group's strategist or voice of reason. He speaks bluntly, rarely shows much emotion, and has a sharp, sarcastic edge—frequently making deadpan or cynical remarks about situations or his teammates. Despite his tough exterior, he's loyal to Mustang and cares deeply for his comrades, willing to take risks or dirty jobs when needed.

In Brotherhood (the more faithful adaptation), he's shown as a capable soldier with excellent investigative skills and combat ability (though not as flashy as others). In the 2003 series, his role is slightly different but still focuses on his reliability and dry wit. He's a fan-favorite for his grounded, dependable presence among Mustang's "crew."
