Drole

Drole (also known as Balor to humans) is a major character in the anime The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai), particularly prominent during the Revival of the Commandments arc and beyond.

He is a massive giant—far larger than others like Diane—standing over 25 meters tall, with distinctive light blue (or sometimes described as stone-like/dark green) skin, four arms, and typically a tattered orange bag covering his head/face. He wears simple, ragged orange pants.

In the story, Drole is revered by the Giant Clan as their legendary founder, former king, and a god-like figure (sometimes called the "God of the Earth"). He possesses immense physical strength and an earth-based power called Ground (or similar earth manipulation), allowing incredible control over the terrain, creation of golems, and more—surpassing even skilled giants like Matrona.

Personality-wise, he's calm, quiet, and speaks politely when he does speak. He has a strong sense of warrior pride, believes deeply in fate, and values giving everything in battle (with fleeing seen as shameful among giants). Despite his intimidating appearance and role, he shows a gentler, reflective side, especially later when influenced by events involving Diane and others.

Initially one of the Ten Commandments (bearing the commandment of Patience), he serves as an antagonist for a time before his loyalties shift in key moments, showing growth and ultimately aligning against greater threats. (Voiced by Daisuke Ono in Japanese.)
