Gerheade is an ancient and highly respected fairy from The Seven Deadly Sins anime (Nanatsu no Taizai), serving as a key elder and adviser in the Fairy King's Forest.
She is one of the oldest inhabitants of the Fairy Clan, having lived for thousands of years (present during events from the Holy War 3,000 years ago). She acts as a wise, cautious guardian figure who prioritizes the protection and traditions of the Fairy Clan above all else.
In the anime, particularly during the arcs involving the Fairy King's Forest revival (around seasons 2–3, such as Revival of The Commandments and beyond), Gerheade is shown as mysterious, somewhat aloof, and deeply distrustful of humans — a trait stemming from past betrayals during the Holy War. This leads her to initially oppose and even conflict with characters like Ban when he becomes involved with the forest.
Despite her stern demeanor and protective instincts (sometimes to extreme lengths for the sake of her people), she cares profoundly for her fellow fairies and shows growth in her views over time. She uses plant/vine-based abilities tied to the forest (often referred to as "Guardian" magic) to defend it.
Physically, she appears as a fairy with a long yellow dress, a distinctive green hat with a flower (covering part of her face), and visible injuries/scars from ancient conflicts. Her voice in the Japanese version is provided by Sumire Morohoshi, and in English by Laura Stahl.
She's a supporting character who adds depth to the Fairy Clan lore, especially in episodes centered on King, Elaine, Ban, and the forest's fate.
