Tarmiel is one of the Four Archangels of the Goddess Clan in The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai) anime, particularly prominent in the later seasons like Imperial Wrath of the Gods and Dragon's Judgement.
He possesses a distinctive and striking appearance: a tall, lean, muscular figure with three heads (one resembling an old man with a long beard, one a young man with slicked-back hair, and a central ageless one with sharp teeth and a bowl cut) and six small angelic wings (more than the typical four for most Goddess Clan members).
In the anime, Tarmiel is revived in the human world by inhabiting the body of a deceased monk/priest named Arbus (or Dubs in some translations). He is often paired with fellow Archangel Sariel, and together they display immense power, especially against members of the Ten Commandments.
Personality-wise, despite his intimidating multi-headed look, Tarmiel is surprisingly gentle, polite, cheerful, and easygoing — often gentlemanly compared to the more hot-headed Sariel. He's confident in his abilities (boasting he could defeat the Ten Commandments in seconds), enjoys toying with opponents in battle, but shows a deeply compassionate and emotional side, particularly toward allies and innocents. He values his comrades, gets moved by kindness (like Elizabeth's desire for peace), and is willing to defy orders for what he believes is right.
His Grace is Ocean, granting him water-based powers, including creating vast watery domains, liquefying his body to become intangible/avoid attacks, and strong defensive/offensive capabilities tied to water and regeneration.
Overall, he's portrayed as a powerful yet kind-hearted celestial warrior who plays a key role in the revived Holy War arcs.
