Guila

Guila is a supporting character in the anime The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai), introduced as a member of the New Generation of Holy Knights in the kingdom of Liones.

She is a young woman with a slim build, long black hair, and very narrow eyes that often appear closed or squinted, giving her a stern, composed look. She typically wears the standard Holy Knight armor, which suits her serious demeanor.

Guila is highly dedicated, disciplined, and loyal to her duties as a Holy Knight, often displaying a cold and ruthless attitude in combat, especially early on when she acts as an antagonist pursuing the Seven Deadly Sins. Her strong sense of justice and protectiveness stems largely from her desire to support and make proud her younger brother, Zeal, after their father (a former Holy Knight) went missing.

Her signature ability is Explosion, a magic power that lets her create and control powerful explosive blasts and flares, making her a formidable fighter. She briefly gains enhanced demonic powers through the New Generation experiments (involving demon blood), boosting her strength significantly during certain arcs.

Over the course of the anime, her character evolves from a strict opponent to someone who questions orders, sides with the protagonists after key events (like witnessing cruelty and acts of kindness from the Sins), and grows into a more allied figure with greater mastery over her abilities. She remains one of the more serious and duty-bound characters in the series.
