About Chandler

Chandler is a high-ranking and extremely powerful demon from the Demon Clan in The Seven Deadly Sins anime (Nanatsu no Taizai). He serves as Meliodas' former master and mentor from long ago, showing deep affection and protectiveness toward him (often calling him his "young master" or student), to the point of becoming emotional or even unhinged when it involves Meliodas' safety.

In his usual form, Chandler appears as a short, round, elderly-looking man with spiky green hair, a matching beard and mustache, and a demon mark on the right side of his head. He often carries a cane (which doubles as a weapon) and gives off a harmless old man vibe at first glance.

However, he's one of the strongest antagonists introduced later in the series (particularly prominent in the later seasons covering the revived Holy War arc). His power level in true form reaches 173,000, making him capable of overwhelming most of the Seven Deadly Sins single-handedly. He can unleash devastating magic like creating an artificial "True Night" that plunges areas into complete darkness (even affecting Escanor's power), use an advanced version of Full Counter (reflecting both magical and physical attacks with amplified power), Absolute Cancel to nullify spells, and other versatile abilities.

When he reveals his true demonic form, he grows much larger and more muscular, sprouts bat-like wings, and becomes far more battle-oriented and ruthless—sadistic toward enemies while remaining obsessively devoted to Meliodas and the Demon King's cause.

He's often paired with Cusack (Zeldris' master) as ancient, elite demons, and their combined power later reaches an even higher level in the story. Overall, Chandler is portrayed as a formidable, loyal, and terrifying force among the demons.
