Galand

Galand, also known as Galand the Truth, is one of the elite Ten Commandments — the most powerful warriors of the Demon Clan serving directly under the Demon King — in the anime The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai).

In the anime (particularly appearing in seasons covering the revival of the Commandments arc), he is portrayed as a very tall, slender, and imposing humanoid demon whose body resembles a full suit of armor (depicted in red and silver tones in the anime adaptation, though sometimes described as green in other sources). His design gives him a knight-like yet monstrous appearance, complete with sinister mask-like pads on his elbows and knees.

Personality-wise, Galand is highly battle-crazed, destructive, sadistic, and reckless. He loves fighting strong opponents, gets excited about worthy challenges after 3,000 years of being sealed, and shows little regard for collateral damage (e.g., casually devastating large areas just to test his strength or clear space for battle). Despite his intimidating presence, he has a somewhat straightforward and prideful demeanor, honoring his own "truth" commandment.

His signature ability comes from his Commandment: Truth — anyone who knowingly tells a lie in his presence is instantly turned to stone (petrified), making him a terrifying foe in confrontations involving deception or bluffing.

He wields immense physical strength and skill with a large halberd/spear-like weapon, relying heavily on brute force, speed, and techniques like massive sweeping strikes or rapid aerial assaults. He can also enter a powered-up state called Critical Over to dramatically boost his already overwhelming physical capabilities.
