Crasher Wake

Crasher Wake is the Gym Leader of Pastoria City in the Sinnoh region, specializing in Water-type Pokémon, as featured in Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl.

In the anime, he's portrayed as a tall, muscular, middle-aged man with a patch of black hair and a beard. He often wears a distinctive blue wrestling-style mask (earning his nickname "Maximum Mask" in Japanese), along with bracers, boots, and pants designed with water-themed flair.

His personality is boisterous, dramatic, jovial, and highly enthusiastic—he has a loud, booming voice and an extroverted, larger-than-life demeanor. He's passionate about battles being fun rather than overly serious, and he trains intensely (like enduring heavy waterfalls). Despite his imposing, wrestler-like presence, he's friendly and approachable, even offering help to challengers.

He appears primarily during Ash's Gym challenge in Pastoria City, where he judges a Croagunk festival before battling Ash with his team (including Gyarados, Quagsire, and Floatzel). He awards the Fen Badge to winners.
