Kellyn

Kellyn is a Pokémon Ranger who appears in the anime during the Pokémon: DP Battle Dimension season (Diamond & Pearl series), specifically in the two-part special episodes "Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu!" (Parts 1 and 2).

He is the anime adaptation of the male protagonist from the game Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. In the show, Kellyn is portrayed as a skilled and elite Top Ranger (noted for using an advanced Fine Styler Capture Device). He initially appears mysterious, deflecting an Aura Sphere attack from a wild Riolu to protect Ash, then pursuing the Pokémon on a solo mission to return it safely.

He is reluctant at first to accept help from Ash, Brock, and Dawn (and even Solana's recommendation), preferring to handle things independently, but he ends up teaming up with them against threats like Pokémon Hunter J's henchmen. Kellyn demonstrates impressive Ranger abilities, such as quickly capturing wild Pokémon (like Ariados, Nincada, and Floatzel) with his Styler to resolve dangerous situations.
