About Roronoa Zoro

Roronoa Zoro (also known as "Pirate Hunter" Zoro) is one of the main characters in the One Piece anime and the first crewmate to join Monkey D. Luffy's Straw Hat Pirates.

He's a highly skilled swordsman who wields three swords at once in his signature Three Sword Style (Santoryu), holding one in each hand and one in his mouth for powerful, multi-directional attacks. Originally a feared bounty hunter in the East Blue, he was saved from execution by Luffy and decided to join the crew to pursue his dream of becoming the world's greatest swordsman.

In terms of appearance, Zoro is tall and extremely muscular with lightly tanned skin, short cropped green hair (which earns him teasing nicknames like "marimo" or moss-head from Sanji), three gold earrings in his left ear, and a prominent large scar across his chest from his duel with Dracule Mihawk. He often wears an open dark robe or shirtless style with a green haramaki (sash) around his waist to hold his swords, and he ties a black bandana around his head when getting serious in battle. Post-timeskip, he has an additional scar over his left eye.

Personality-wise, Zoro is serious, stern, and stoic most of the time, with a strong sense of honor and loyalty (he follows a samurai-like code, refusing to attack turned backs unless his friends are in danger). He's fiercely dedicated to training and improving his skills, often sleeping or lifting weights in his downtime. Despite his tough exterior, he deeply cares for his crewmates and will risk his life for them. He's also comically terrible with directions (getting lost constantly, even in straight lines), short-tempered in funny ways at times, and a heavy drinker who loves sake.

Overall, he's portrayed as Luffy's reliable right-hand man and one of the crew's top fighters, known for his immense strength, endurance, and determination.
