Jinbe

Jinbe (also spelled Jinbei or Jimbei), known as the "Knight of the Sea," is a prominent character in the One Piece anime. He is a massive whale shark fish-man with a stocky, sumo wrestler-like build, blue skin, distinctive yellow eyebrows and sideburns shaped like those of Japanese oni demons, a bulbous nose, sharp tusk-like lower fangs, and a lightning-shaped scar over his left eye. He has long, two-toned black hair (often with lighter stripes in the anime), a topknot, and a small beard tuft.

In terms of personality, Jinbe is honorable, proud, and deeply principled, often described as a "pirate-hating pirate" due to his disdain for those who exploit or harm others (especially fish-men). He is calm, wise, and level-headed, serving as a voice of reason with strong moral convictions. He prioritizes justice, coexistence between humans and fish-men (inspired by his former captain Fisher Tiger's dream), and the greater good—sometimes even setting aside personal pride or battles if it benefits others. Despite his intimidating appearance and immense strength as a master of Fish-Man Karate (which lets him manipulate water powerfully), he is humble, loyal, and compassionate.

In the anime's storyline, Jinbe first appears as a former Seven Warlords of the Sea member and captain of the Sun Pirates. He becomes a key ally to Luffy during major events like Impel Down and Marineford, eventually joining the Straw Hat Pirates as their helmsman (and the tenth official member) during the Wano Country arc, where he provides guidance, navigation expertise, and formidable combat support to the crew.
