Byron

Byron is a minor character in the One Piece anime, appearing during the Sabaody Archipelago Arc (specifically in the Human Auctioning House scenes, around episodes corresponding to chapters 501+).

He is introduced as the first slave put up for auction at the Human Auctioning House on Sabaody Archipelago. Byron is a pirate and talented musician from Toroa in the West Blue, capable of playing many instruments (and reportedly even making good wine). He's from a long line of musicians and was captured and enslaved despite his proud pirate background.

In terms of appearance (as shown in the anime), he has long, unkempt blond hair, prominent bushy eyebrows, a small beard, and a noticeable scar running down his face from his forehead across his eye. He wears a dark coat over a red vest, with a white scarf-like garment underneath, and an orange sash over brown pants.

His personality comes across as angry and ashamed about being enslaved and sold like merchandise. He has a low starting bid (around 480,000 Berries in the source material, with the anime adapting it similarly), highlighting how undervalued slaves like him were treated there.

He's not a recurring or major character—just a brief appearance to emphasize the cruelty of the slave trade in that arc.
