Demitra Midia

Demitra Midia is the vice-commander (or vice-captain) of Venus, the elite all-female unit from Kamigari Academy that serves as a major antagonistic/rival group in the Maken-ki! anime.

In the anime adaptation, she appears as a tall, imposing, and stoic fighter with long dark purple hair styled in twin tails (with a small bun at the back) and purple eyes. She's one of the tallest and most physically well-endowed female characters in the series.

Personality-wise, Demitra is calm, cool-headed, and rarely shows emotion—she almost always maintains a serious, expressionless demeanor, though she occasionally offers a small smile to those whose strength she respects. She's portrayed as a highly skilled and powerful combatant, considered one of the strongest in Venus (even noted by her teammate Yan Min as surpassing her own abilities in fighting prowess).

Her abilities revolve around water manipulation, enhanced by her Maken/Jingu (a sacred weapon/tool), which takes the form of a trident. This allows her to control water-based attacks effectively in battles, such as during confrontations with Tenbi Academy students like Haruko Amaya.

She was recruited into Venus seven years before the main story by its leader Akaya, after growing up in an orphanage in Southern Europe. In the anime, her role emphasizes her as a formidable, composed opponent during the Venus arc.
