Yamada Asaemon Tenza

Yamada Asaemon Tenza is a supporting character in the Hell's Paradise (Jigokuraku) anime, serving as one of the executioners from the Yamada clan assigned to the expedition to the mysterious island.

He's the 10th-ranked Asaemon (in the Tameshi-itto-ryu style), tasked with monitoring and accompanying the convict Nurugai. In the anime adaptation, Tenza is portrayed as a young (around 17 years old), tall, muscular, and handsome man with blonde hair (neatly combed with a stray strand) and blue eyes. He wears the standard male Asaemon outfit: a white robe, red hakama, red waist fabrics, long red gauntlets, and typically carries swords.

Personality-wise, he's depicted as strong-willed, determined, and protective—especially unwilling to abandon those he cares about or sees as important, showing a sense of loyalty and resolve even in the dangerous, chaotic setting of the island.
