Okarun

Okarun (real name: Ken Takakura) is one of the two main protagonists in Dandadan. He's a high school boy who's deeply obsessed with the occult and the paranormal — specifically, he believes strongly in aliens and UFOs but doesn't believe in ghosts (at least initially).

He's portrayed as an introverted, socially awkward, and somewhat nerdy teenager who's often shy, self-doubting, and has been bullied, leading to low self-esteem. Despite that, he has a kind heart and grows more courageous over time, especially after getting involved in supernatural events.

Physically, he's depicted as a slender, shorter-statured teen with messy dark/brown hair, brown eyes, and round-frame glasses.

His nickname "Okarun" (a blend of "occult" + "-kun") was given to him by the other protagonist, Momo Ayase.
