Momo Ayase

Momo Ayase is one of the two main protagonists of Dandadan.

She's a bold, short-tempered, and very outspoken high-school girl with a strong belief in ghosts and the supernatural, while she completely denies the existence of aliens. She has a gyaru-like fashion sense (brightly colored nails, accessories, somewhat flashy style) and is physically very capable — she's strong, athletic, and good in a fight.

Momo is fiercely independent, quick to throw punches (or psychic energy), protective of the people she cares about, and has a soft spot beneath her tough exterior. Her family background includes living with her grandmother, Seiko Ayase, who is a powerful spiritual medium, and Momo herself awakens very strong psychic/spiritual abilities as the story progresses.

She's commonly described as hot-headed, loyal, brave, and surprisingly kind-hearted despite her brash attitude.
