Rent-a-Girlfriend

Rent-A-Girlfriend (original title: Kanojo, Okarishimasu) is a romantic comedy anime centered on Kazuya Kinoshita, a somewhat insecure and average 20-year-old college student.

After getting dumped by his first girlfriend (Mami Nanami) after just one month, Kazuya—feeling lonely and desperate—decides to try a rental girlfriend app/service. He hires the beautiful and seemingly perfect Chizuru Mizuhara (real name Ichinose) for a date.

Things get complicated fast when:

• Their "perfect" rental date goes awkwardly, leading to misunderstandings.
• They discover they live in the same apartment building and attend the same college.
• Kazuya's grandmother ends up in the hospital, and to cheer her up, he ends up introducing Chizuru as his real girlfriend—pulling both into a fake relationship web.

The story follows their ongoing pretend romance, constant lies to keep up appearances (especially to family and friends), growing genuine feelings, jealousy, more rental girlfriends entering the picture (like the energetic Ruka Sarashina), and plenty of rom-com hijinks, cringe moments, and slow-burn tension.

It's very much a harem-style rom-com with a unique rental girlfriend premise, heavy on misunderstandings, character growth (or lack thereof, depending on who you ask), and will-they-won't-they drama that stretches across multiple seasons.
