Kazuya Kinoshita

Kazuya Kinoshita is the main male protagonist of the anime/manga Rent-a-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu).

He's a college student (around 20–21 years old) majoring in Business Administration at Nerima University, living alone in a Tokyo apartment. After getting dumped by his first girlfriend, he impulsively rents a girlfriend through an app, which kicks off the series' central premise and complications.

Appearance: He has an average, unremarkable build with messy spiky light brown hair and plain brown eyes—nothing particularly striking about his look.

Personality: Kazuya is highly indecisive, suffers from very low self-esteem, and often comes across as insecure, awkward, and immature. He tends to compulsively lie to avoid confrontation or embarrassment, which frequently lands him in escalating messy situations. While he's portrayed as relatable in his flaws and frustrations (especially as a hopeless romantic virgin), he's also a polarizing character due to his frequent over-the-top internal monologues and pathetic tendencies.
