Mami Nanami

Mami Nanami is a key character in Rent-a-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu). She is Kazuya Kinoshita's ex-girlfriend, who abruptly dumped him after just one month of dating to move on to someone "new," which kickstarts the entire story and leads Kazuya to hire a rental girlfriend.

She is a freshman college student at Nerima University, attractive with short blonde hair (often styled in a bouncy bob with subtle pink tips), bright blue eyes, and a petite, slender build. On the surface, Mami comes across as sweet, friendly, cheerful, and approachable. However, she has a much darker side — showing jealous, possessive, manipulative, and petty behavior, especially when it comes to Kazuya and his new relationships. She often tries to interfere in or sabotage his life out of spite or unresolved feelings, even after being the one to end things.

Her actions make her function as a major antagonist (or at least an antagonistic force) in the series, frequently stirring up drama around the main couple.
