Theodore Hamilton

Theodore Hamilton (known as Tōru in the Japanese version) is a key character in the Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS anime.

He is a highly intelligent, cheerful, and somewhat eccentric young man who works as a computer programmer and hacker. Theodore is one of the six children who were kidnapped and subjected to the Lost Incident (Hanoi Project) experiments years earlier, which gives him a deep personal connection to the series' central conflict involving AI and human suffering.

Personality-wise, he tends to be:

• Friendly and laid-back on the surface
• Emotionally intense and vengeful when it comes to his past trauma
• Deeply caring toward his Ignis partner Flame

In the VRAINS storyline, he is also known by his alias Spectre's rival counterpart — Soulburner (in the dub: Soulburner / Japanese: Playmaker rival in the second season arc).

He's a Fire-attribute Duelist who uses a Salamangreat deck centered around powerful Link Summoning and reincarnation/recycling tactics.
