Ai

Ai (アイ) is one of the main characters in the later seasons of Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS.

He is an Ignis — an advanced artificial intelligence born from the network — and specifically the Dark Ignis, representing the attribute of darkness.

Personality-wise, Ai is very energetic, talkative, dramatic, and extremely expressive. He loves giving himself dramatic introductions, calls himself things like "the one and only Ignis" or "the great Ai," and frequently uses internet slang and memes. Despite his goofy and chaotic behavior, he is actually highly intelligent and becomes deeply loyal to his human partner Yusaku Fujiki (Playmaker).

Ai starts as a mysterious, somewhat antagonistic figure but gradually becomes a true companion and friend, with his arc heavily exploring themes of artificial life, free will, identity, and what it means to have emotions.

He's easily one of the most charismatic and meme-worthy characters in the entire VRAINS series. 😄
