Zeldris

Zeldris is a major character in the anime The Seven Deadly Sins (Nanatsu no Taizai), serving as one of the primary antagonists for much of the series. He is the younger brother of Meliodas, the son of the Demon King, and the leader of the Ten Commandments, the elite warriors of the Demon Clan.

In terms of appearance, Zeldris is a short but muscular young man who strongly resembles his brother Meliodas, with spiky black hair that grows in the opposite direction (counterclockwise compared to Meliodas). He has a demon mark over his left eye (unlike Meliodas's over the right), and he typically wears a form-fitting crimson bodysuit with white accents, an open collar exposing his chest, and silver gauntlets, often carrying a shortsword.

Personality-wise, Zeldris is calm, highly confident, and ruthless in battle, showing arrogance toward those he deems weaker while taking all opponents seriously with his full power. He harbors deep resentment toward Meliodas for betraying the Demon Clan 3,000 years ago to be with Elizabeth, which strained their brotherly bond and left Zeldris loyal to their father. Despite his cold exterior, he has a tragic side—driven by loyalty, a hidden capacity for love (particularly toward the vampire Gelda), and a sense of duty that makes him more complex than a straightforward villain.

As for his abilities, Zeldris is one of the most powerful demons in the series. He bears the Commandment of Piety (which forces those who turn their backs on him—symbolizing retreat or disloyalty—into obedient servitude to him and the Demon King). He wields darkness-based powers, Hellblaze black flames, exceptional swordsmanship, superhuman strength/speed, regeneration, and at times channels power borrowed from the Demon King, making him capable of nullifying magic and overwhelming strong foes. He views himself as superior to Meliodas in some respects and aims to prove his worth as the next Demon King.

Overall, Zeldris starts as a formidable enemy to the Sins but has layers of family conflict and redemption potential that play out across the anime's arcs.
