Solaad

Solaad is a character who appears exclusively in the anime movie The Seven Deadly Sins the Movie: Prisoners of the Sky (part of the anime adaptation continuity).

He is a young member of the Celestial Clan (also called Sky People), living in the floating Sky Palace above the clouds. Solaad has a striking facial resemblance to Meliodas — sharing similar features but with longer hair, blue eyes, a slimmer build, and a pair of short wings on his back. He wears a light pink shirt with distinctive triangular buttons, blue pants with yellow stripes, and sandals.

As the son of a high-ranking Celestial warrior, Solaad was trained to wield the sacred Winged Sword against demons. Defying his people's laws, he descends to the ground world to search for the legendary "Great Oshiro" (a white pig-like creature tied to an ancient seal) in order to protect his home from an impending demonic threat known as the Time of Ruin.

In the story, he encounters the Seven Deadly Sins, initially panicking and mistaking some of them for threats (and vice versa due to his similarity to Meliodas). He teams up with them temporarily, showing a mix of determination, initial cowardice/fear (especially around unfamiliar races like giants), and growth in facing his responsibilities. He also has a close connection to a Celestial girl named Ellatt and plays a key role in the movie's climax involving demons and the Indura beast.
