Elijah Knight

Elijah Knight is a key supporting character in the anime adaptation of The Beginning After the End. He is introduced as a talented young mage and former adventurer whom Arthur Leywin meets during his adventurer days (appearing around Episode 12 in Season 1).

Elijah is portrayed as a human orphan raised by the Elder Dwarf Rahdeas in the Kingdom of Darv. He has short, jet-black hair, wears square-framed glasses that give him a mature look beyond his years, and typically dresses simply (like a beige long-sleeve shirt and black pants in his initial appearance).

He is a skilled conjurer with a strong affinity for earth magic (and later reveals a deviant affinity for metal magic), allowing him to manipulate it effectively despite his young age. Elijah becomes one of Arthur's closest friends, sharing a bond built on mutual respect and growth as mages. Thanks to Arthur's influence, he later enrolls as a student at Xyrus Academy.

In the anime's first season (which covers early arcs), Elijah comes across as calm, intelligent, loyal, and determined to grow stronger to stand alongside Arthur. He plays a significant role in events leading up to and during the attack on Xyrus Academy, where his character experiences a dramatic moment involving loss of control over his body.
