Reynolds Leywin

Reynolds Leywin (often called "Rey") is Arthur Leywin's loving and supportive father in the anime adaptation of The Beginning After the End.

He is a retired adventurer who was previously the leader of the Twin Horns Party, a well-known group of adventurers. After Arthur's birth, he stepped away from that life to settle down with his wife, Alice Leywin, and focus on family. He later takes on the role of head of security at the Helstea Auction House.

In the anime (Season 1, which aired in 2025), Reynolds is portrayed as a caring, protective, and charismatic family man with a strong, square-jawed appearance, ashy brown hair, and deep blue eyes. He has a fire affinity in magic (unlocked after training post-retirement) and shows concern and pride when discovering his young son's extraordinary mana core awakening and abilities. Voiced by Yamato Kinjo (Japanese) and Jessie James Grelle (English), he comes across as a warm, responsible parent who values his family's safety in the magical world of Dicathen.
