Alice Leywin

Alice Leywin is Arthur Leywin's loving and caring mother in the anime adaptation of The Beginning After the End.

She is a retired adventurer and a former member of the Twin Horns Party, where she served as their healer thanks to her rare and impressive Emitter magic (specializing in healing and restorative abilities). After Arthur's birth, she and her husband Reynolds settled into a quieter life in the town of Ashber as a housewife and mother, focusing on raising their family.

In the anime's early episodes, Alice comes across as a gentle, kindhearted, and warm person who is deeply protective of her son, often scolding her husband for being too rough during play or trying to teach baby Arthur swordplay. She has a dominant side in the household but is fundamentally nurturing and supportive. Her auburn hair and brown eyes give her a lovely, approachable appearance that Arthur describes as kind and gentle rather than glamorous.

As the story progresses (in the first season), she plays a key role in Arthur's early family life and reveals her past skills during key moments, like journeys or threats to the family.
