Theresia van Astrea

Theresia van Astrea is a character from Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World. She was the previous generation's Sword Saint (Kensei), wife of Wilhelm van Astrea, mother of Heinkel Astrea, and grandmother of Reinhard van Astrea.

A kind, gentle, social, and overly compassionate woman who deeply disliked fighting and killing despite her immense talent, she was born with the Divine Protection of the Death God (making wounds she inflicted unable to heal) and later received the Divine Protection of the Sword Saint at age 12, making her an unparalleled swordswoman.

She single-handedly ended the long Demi-Human War about 40 years before the main story by decisively turning the tide of the conflict. After marrying Wilhelm and stepping away from her title to live a quieter life, she ultimately died during the battle against the White Whale (with deeper circumstances revealed later in the story).
