Fortuna

Fortuna is a supporting character from Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World, primarily appearing in flashback scenes during Emilia's backstory (especially in Season 2).

She was Emilia's paternal aunt (her father's sister) and served as her loving adoptive mother / guardian after Emilia's parents were killed. Fortuna raised young Emilia in an elven village within the Great Elior Forest roughly a century before the main story, acting as the protector of a mysterious seal in the forest.

She is depicted as a kind-hearted, modest, and deeply caring woman who would do anything to protect those she loved—especially Emilia, whom she treated like her own daughter. She had a close (and mutually affectionate) past connection with Geuse (later Petelgeuse Romanée-Conti).

Physically, she was a beautiful full-elf with short silver hair, striking violet eyes, pointed ears, and a fit build. She was also a powerful ice magic user.

Her fate and the tragic events surrounding her play a major role in shaping Emilia's personality, worldview, and the freezing of Elior Forest. (Note: There are fan theories linking her to other characters like Sirius, but those remain unconfirmed speculation.)
