Bordeaux Zergev

Bordeaux Zergev (also spelled Bordeaux Zellgef) is a supporting character in Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World.

He is an elderly member of the Council of Wise Men (Sage Council) in the Kingdom of Lugunica, serving as one of its representatives. In his younger days, during and after the Demi-Human War (about 40+ years before the main story), he was a powerful knight and the original commander of the elite Zergev Squadron in the Royal Army. He was known for his military prowess, leading frontline battles and later passing command to Wilhelm van Astrea.

In the present timeline, he appears as an old, bald man with wrinkles, prominent big blue eyebrows, and typically wears the purple attire of the Council with a long coat. He is characterized as honest, frank, direct, and outspoken—sometimes to a fault—and is noted for holding prejudices against demi-humans.
