Roxie

Roxie (Japanese name: Homika) is the Virbank City Gym Leader in the Unova region, appearing in the Pokémon anime during the Black & White series (specifically in the episodes "Rocking the Virbank Gym! Part 1 and Part 2").

She specializes in Poison-type Pokémon and awards the Toxic Badge to Trainers who defeat her. In the anime, her Gym is located in an underground music club, reflecting her dual life as a talented musician—she's the bassist and vocalist for the punk-rock band Koffing and the Toxics (sometimes referred to simply as "The Koffings" or similar).

Roxie has a punk/rocker aesthetic, with a confident and energetic personality. Despite her rebellious, stage-loving vibe, she's encouraging toward challengers and determined in battle, often blending her music with her Gym challenges. She's notably strong and strategic with her Poison team, using status effects like poisoning effectively.

Her team in the anime includes Koffing, Scolipede, and Garbodor, and she famously gave Ash a handicap by letting him use six Pokémon against her three during their Gym battle.

She's one of the more memorable Gym Leaders from the later Unova arc, known for her cool rockstar energy and tough Poison-based style.
