Drayden

Drayden is the Gym Leader of Opelucid City in the Unova region in the Pokémon anime (primarily appearing in Pokémon the Series: Black & White). He specializes in Dragon-type Pokémon and also serves as the mayor of Opelucid City and the president of the prestigious Opelucid Academy.

In the anime, he's depicted as a tall, muscular, slightly older man with white hair and a distinctive thick white beard that covers his mouth and resembles the toothy lower jaw of a reptile, giving him an imposing, dragon-like appearance. He often wears a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves, gray pants held by purple suspenders with spiked shoulder pads, black shoes, and gloves.

Personality-wise, Drayden is calm, wise, and respected, with a strong focus on education, discipline, and proper training (such as recognizing when a Pokémon is exhausted). He's gracious in battle but formidable as a Dragon Master. He has a notable mentor-like relationship with Iris, having battled and trained her since she was younger (including in flashbacks from her Village of Dragons days), and he even encouraged her to go on her journey rather than stay confined to formal academy learning, seeing her potential to one day succeed him as Gym Leader.
