Flint

Flint (known as Ōba in Japanese) is a member of the Sinnoh Elite Four in the Pokémon anime (Diamond & Pearl series). He specializes in Fire-type Pokémon and is portrayed as one of the region's top trainers.

In terms of appearance, he's a tall, slim man with a distinctive large red afro hairstyle, wearing a casual yellow t-shirt, dark grey pants with a red belt, black sandals, and black wristbands.

Personality-wise, Flint is a good-spirited, caring, and concerned individual—especially toward his close childhood friend Volkner (the Sunyshore Gym Leader), whom he helps pull out of a depressed, unmotivated state by reigniting his passion for battling. He's straightforward and enthusiastic about Pokémon battles, though sometimes shown as a bit simple-minded or direct.

He appears primarily in the Sunyshore City arc, where he steps in to battle Ash (using his powerful Infernape) when Volkner has lost interest in challenging trainers. Flint's role highlights themes of friendship, motivation, and strong battling spirit.
