Gladion

Gladion is a recurring character in the Pokémon Sun & Moon anime series, where he serves as Ash Ketchum's main rival in the Alola region. He is Lillie's older brother and the son of Lusamine (president of the Aether Foundation).

Appearance: He is a young teenage boy with light blonde hair (shaved on the sides with a distinctive ripped/carved design and long tousled bangs covering his right eye) and green eyes. His outfit gives off a tough, edgy vibe: a gray hooded shirt with a prominent red slash/scar-like mark, a black undershirt with ripped sleeves, ripped black pants, red shoes, and often a red rectangular bag around his waist.

Personality: Gladion comes across as serious, calm, reserved, and determined—often appearing as a quiet loner with a cold or distant exterior, especially in battles where he's quite ruthless and focused on strength. Despite this, he has a kinder, caring side deep down, particularly toward his Pokémon (like his partner Type: Null/Silvally, which he rescued) and his family (especially protecting his sister Lillie). His drive stems from past family trauma involving Ultra Beasts, motivating him to train rigorously to become strong enough to protect others.

In the anime (unlike the games), he's not affiliated with Team Skull and is portrayed as more heroic overall, frequently helping against threats while pursuing his own goals of growth and strength.
