Cyrus

Cyrus is the main antagonist in the Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl anime series (part of Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl), serving as the leader and founder of Team Galactic.

Appearance: He has distinctive spiked light blue hair, sharp and defined facial features, and typically wears a gray Team Galactic uniform with the organization's logo on his vest. He often has a serious, brooding expression.

Personality and role: Cyrus initially presents himself as a polite, affable, and intelligent businessman who has contributed to building many structures and libraries across the Sinnoh region. He maintains friendly relations with figures like Cynthia and Professor Carolina while researching Sinnoh mythology. This persona is a deliberate facade to mask his true nature. In reality, he is cold, ruthless, and emotionless, despising the imperfections, strife, and emotions of the existing world and its inhabitants (both humans and Pokémon). His ultimate goal is to use the power of legendary Pokémon like Dialga, Palkia, and others to destroy the current universe and create a new, "perfect" one without spirit, emotion, or conflict—ideally one where he alone exists from the original world.

He manipulates events from behind the scenes, commanding Team Galactic commanders like Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and others, and remains a calm, calculating figure even as his plans unfold, contrasting with more overtly emotional villains in the franchise.
