Gyro Zeppeli

Gyro Zeppeli is one of the main protagonists in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run (Part 7 of the series), an Italian executioner and doctor from the Kingdom of Naples who is a master of the mystical technique known as the Spin.

In the anime adaptation (which began airing/streaming in 2026), he is depicted as a cocky, flamboyant, and charismatic racer who enters the cross-country Steel Ball Run horse race across 1890s America. His goal is to win the race and secure amnesty for a young boy sentenced to execution back home, a duty tied to his family's executioner role.

Gyro has a confident, often rude and mocking demeanor toward strangers, with a penchant for eccentric humor (including bad puns and his signature "Nyo-ho-ho-ho~" laugh while flashing his grill teeth engraved with "GO! GO! ZEPPELI"). Despite his brash exterior, he shows a strong sense of justice, altruism, and mentorship—particularly toward Johnny Joestar, whom he teaches the Spin and forms a close partnership with during the race.

His appearance includes long hair, light eyes, distinctive square sideburn-like facial hair patches, and a rugged cowboy-inspired outfit with a studded black leather coat, pants, and boots. He's agile, strategic in combat using his steel balls infused with Spin energy, and stands out as a fan-favorite for his personality and dynamic with Johnny.
