Giorno Giovanna is the main protagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind (Part 5 of the anime series).
He's a calm, composed, and highly intelligent teenage boy (around 15 years old) with a slim yet athletic build, standing shorter than most previous JoJo protagonists. He has distinctive golden-blonde hair styled in a short braid at the back with three prominent, large curls hanging over his forehead.
Born as Haruno Shiobana (a half-Japanese name), he later goes by Giorno Giovanna after moving to Italy. As the biological son of DIO (conceived using Jonathan Joestar's body), he carries Joestar lineage despite his villainous paternal heritage.
Giorno is driven by a strong sense of justice and a dream to reform the corrupt Italian mafia organization Passione from the inside, aiming to become a "Gang-Star" who uses the power of the gang to protect the innocent and eliminate its criminal excesses (especially its drug trade). He's strategic, ruthless when necessary (especially toward enemies), but genuinely compassionate and determined to create a better world.
His Stand, Gold Experience, allows him to infuse life into inanimate objects (turning them into plants/animals) or accelerate life processes, which he uses creatively in combat and for healing.
Overall, he's portrayed in the anime as charismatic, cool-headed, ambitious, and morally complex—a quiet idealist willing to take extreme actions to achieve his noble goal.
