Kakeru Sengoku

Kakeru Sengoku (also referred to as the Student Council President) is a supporting character in the 2021 Horimiya anime adaptation.

Appearance: He is a tall, slim high school student with distinctive red hair and red eyes, typically seen wearing the standard Katagiri Senior High School uniform. His good looks make him quite popular among the female students.

Personality and role: Sengoku serves as the charismatic yet often anxious Student Council President, striving to maintain a confident and authoritative image despite being easily flustered or nervous in many situations. He's academically excellent (frequently the top student), but notably weak in sports and physical activities. He's a childhood friend of Kyouko Hori (from middle school days, where he was somewhat her "minion" before standing up to her), and he's in a sweet, loving relationship with Remi Ayasaki. Overall, he's portrayed as kind-hearted, responsible, a bit shy or wimpy underneath his composed exterior, and often provides comic relief through his reactions and attempts to act cool.
